Severe whole house damage from ice maker.

This is a living room from a 3 bed room home that was unoccupied and under contract for purchase. While it set empty the Teflon hose to the refrigerator ice maker ruptured. It was estimated that the it pored water out for up to 10 days while owner was gone. Extreme high humidity in the home caused secondary damage to entire home with wall saturation or buckling in every room. The crawl space under the home also had standing water.  Acting fast we removed all effected flooring, and exposed walls to start the drying procedures. 

Check your ice maker lines often, and learn where your shut off is. Upgrade to steel braided lines for ice make when possible. And when leaving for extended periods of time, its good practice to turn off your main water main valve.
